Alexis Sanchez Not Letting Chilean Tabloids Bring Him Down

Alexis Sanchez is the undisputed MVP for Arsenal at the current juncture in the season, and as such, he’s beginning to attract a lot of that unwanted attention. Surprisingly, the gross majority of it is coming from tabloids in his home country of Chile.

First, the reports from La Tercera stated that the Arsenal engine was “disenchanted” with the Gunners and that Mesut Ozil and he had a rift (as reported by the Express). Neither Ozil or Alexis commented on the report, as it was widely accepted as rubbish.

Now, La Cuarta, also out of Chile, have been claiming that Alexis is exhausted. This would make sense given that he puts in 90+ minutes of seriously hard work every single match. However, the Chilean tabloid isn’t blaming his exhaustion solely on football. Instead, they say that it’s because of Alexis’s girlfriend, Laia Grassi, who demands “too much sex” (as reported by the Metro).

Again, Alexis rightfully made no comments on the matter. Instead, he spoke with his play, as he has continued his goal tally and continues to shine as one of the top three performers in the entire Premier League thus far into the season.

Tabloids are always going to do things like this, and in a nation such as Chile, where there aren’t many celebrities to attack, Alexis is about the best target they can muster, and they are doing just that.
