Arsenal Transfer Rumors: Edinson Cavani is Back… Again!
By Josh Sippie
How long has it been since Edinson Cavani was last seen on Arsenal’s radar? A couple weeks? It seems like he’s been linked to us since birth. Regardless, he’s now linked with us again, and this rumor indicates we’ll be in a bidding war with Liverpool (according to the Guardian). I don’t know what’s less likely, the concept of Edinson Cavani coming to Arsenal, or the idea that Arsene Wenger would actually get in a bidding war.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, any team can benefit from Cavani. That’s a moot statement. But with Olivier Giroud back and looking fantastic, Alexis Sanchez proving to be one of the best talents in the world, Danny Welbeck still making a claim to be striker and Theo Walcott due back as well, is it really a necessity?

If you answered no (which is the correct answer), then Arsene Wenger said no too.
I can see Adrien Rabiot being the only PSG man that could make the move to Arsenal.
Wenger has already made his thoughts on transfers clear. Finding the “perfect” player is impossible (basically). And Cavani is far from the perfect player for Arsenal.
It’s going to be another quiet January for Arsene, and quite honestly, I don’t mind that. We were all in panic mode because of injuries, but a healthy Arsenal is a stacked Arsenal, and we’re gradually getting healthy. If anything, I could see another midfielder to shore us up until Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere get back to full health and maybe another defender, but aside from that, Arsene Wenger will be silent.
As much as Edinson Cavani may be a joy to watch on the pitch, it isn’t going to happen, Gooners.
