Thierry Henry’s Top 5 Arsenal Moments
By Josh Sippie
1. Preserving Invincibility
No Arsenal season was greater than the 2003/4 season. Mainly because no season in English Premier League history was greater than that season. There was only one other undefeated season in EPL history and that one was over a century ago. Needless to say, it was a once in a lifetime feat.
But it was only preserved because of the heroics of Thierry Henry.
After losing in the FA Cup and the Champions League, Arsenal faced a foe in Liverpool that looked fit to fuddle Arsenal’s plans of an undefeated season.
Liverpool took a 1-0 lead before Henry equalized and they’d take another 2-1 lead before Robert Pires tied it. From there, another two goals from Henry including his second beautiful effort, saw Arsenal through 4-2, putting a clamp on the Invincible season.
