Arsenal vs West Ham Report: Ending the Year on a Win
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal vs West Ham FINAL: 2-1
For as rough as the Arsenal vs QPR game was to watch, this game was ten times better. It was a essentially a free for all, particularly in the second half when fast breaks ruled the game. Luckily for Arsenal, our fast break squad is one of the best in the premier league.
The fun really began just before the first half ended, with Santi Cazorla drawing a penalty and putting it away coolly in the 41st minute to give the Gunners a 1-0 advantage with half time just ahead.

But that wouldn’t be all for the Gunners.
In the 44th minute, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who had a fantastic game, drove deep into the box and found Danny Welbeck waiting in the box for an easy tap-in goal, giving Arsenal all the confidence in the world going into the locker rooms at half.
Coming out of half, West Ham was the aggressor yet again and it paid dividends this time, with Kouyate poking a header off the back of Debuchy’s head for West Ham’s first goal; a goal that ensured that the last 40 minutes would be immensely entertaining.
Chance after chance passed by for both squads, with each minute ticking past on the heels of opportunities. Adrian played out of his mind to deny Arsenal several more goals that would have put the game to be, but Szczesny was equal to him by denying crosses to the imposing Andy Carroll.
In the, Arsenal pulled six points in three days and end the year on a high note.
