Arsenal Transfer Rumors: Sergio Ramos, Mandzukic and More!
By Josh Sippie
Mario Mandzukic – Likelihood: 2/10
I’m still not convinced that Arsene Wenger is going to go after a striker. Podolski may have left, and Yaya Sanogo and Joel Campbel may be soon to follow (all loan deals of course), but Wenger has been known to leave positions short staffed (see the defense).
Our striker situation isn’t too terrible, especially when considering that Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott could technically spearhead our attack.
That being said, I’d much rather see a young, dynamic Paolo Dybala coming to the Emirates than Mandzukic, who Arsenal already had a shot at and passed on, which led him to struggle in La Liga. At least Dybala has an exciting future, whereas Mandzukic would find that life in the Premier League is even more tough than life in the Bundesliga or La Liga.
The rumors aren’t to be believed. Arsene Wenger is not “desperate” to find a striker. That’s what he got Welbeck for.
