Arsene Wenger has reportedly (The Independent) followed up on his initial bid with an increased bid of 20 million pounds. This is phenomenal news from an Arsenal standpoint. It means that Wenger is serious about acquiring a real talent.

Gundogan isn’t just a temporary solution. He isn’t a Kim Kallstrom. Gundogan is a long term difference maker and he would be incredibly welcome at the Emirates.

While a “double-deal” to get Mats Hummels as well would be blissfully wonderful, it won’t happen, so for now, let’s keep our fingers crossed that this very plausible, affordable, logical deal gets done and Arsenal’s midfield gets imbued with a world-class talent.
