Arsenal vs Leicester City Preview: Rise Up, Gunners!

When Arsenal play host to Leicester City tomorrow, the focus will be on one thing: Winning. Arsenal suffered a horrible lost on Saturday but that doesn’t mean anything as long as Arsenal can pick themselves up and play a string of excellent games.

Leicester City aren’t the best team in the league but that doesn’t mean Arsenal can take them lightly. However, after that defeat I doubt there will be a lack of focus among the team.

Prediction: Arsenal 3-0 Leicester City

1) Alexis Sanchez might be back

The thought of having Alexis back is a massive boost to this team. Although a lot of players have stepped up in his place, none of them bring the same type of intensity as the Chilean. His hard work combined with his skill is what makes him such a hit among supporters.

Yet his most recent injury is very concerning. Arsenal have a problem of rushing their players back from injury and it is because of this fact that I only want to see Alexis Sanchez on the pitch when he’s absolutely ready.

2) Mesut Ozil isn’t as bad as everyone says he is

I have always supported Ozil and I will always support him! He is truly a very skilled player, and although he isn’t as intense as Sanchez, every time Ozil touches the ball there is a chance he does something beautiful with it.

Ozil has stepped up his game lately and it seems like his spell in the sideline has made him understand the team and the league a bit more. He still has a long way to go to prove his value, but I think he is playing at the level we all expected to have seen from the get go.

3) Our defense is good enough

Against 15 or 20 of the teams in the league, our defense is good enough. That is to say, our defense is only good when the opposition don’t have a great striker. So against the best teams, the same teams fighting for a spot in the top 4, our defense is useless. But against Leicester City, it is good enough and I expect nothing less than perfection from the side tomorrow.
