Another striker, because Arsenal transfer rumors always involve strikers.

Jackson Martinez would cost Arsenal 29.5 million pounds. That’s doable. But what I don’t like about this move is simple: He’s 28. Giroud is 28. I don’t know if you read my previous slide (although it’d be hard to get to this slide without having done so) but we don’t need to replace Giroud!

Obviously Giroud can’t play every game but why sign a secondary striker that’s his same age, get one like, say Paulo Dybala.

29.5 million pounds is the same fee that can secure Dybala, a 21 year old who can inherit the striker throne from Giroud while still providing cover immediately. Which makes more sense?
