I quite literally fell in love with the prospect of Gundogan coming to Arsenal this winter, but the need for a defender quickly (and rightly) took up all of Arsene Wenger’s time.

As such, Gundogan remained at Borussia Dortmund.

And after a truly heart-warming contract extension was agreed upon with Marco Reus, Gundogan appears ready to follow suit and not jump ship on his club.

I’m not even mad. Loyalty in sports is so rare, and Borussia Dortmund is proving that their players are in it for more than just the money and the fame, they’re in it for their club.
