Paulo Dybala

Arsenal are known admirers of Paulo Dybala, but who isn’t? However, we know that Arsenal are serious because they flew Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini to London to discuss their 21-year old star.

“It’s an incredible feeling to be linked with clubs like Borussia Dortmund, Inter, Barcelona and Arsenal,” Dybala said last summer, as reported by IBT TimesTottosports quotes Zamparini about Dybala’s summer exit, “Next year is going to be good for Palermo to be self-sufficient without the need for selling players, like this year when Dybala leaves” (per IBT Times).

So we know who’s all interested, it’s just a matter of winning the battle. A dubious report from the Express claims that Borussia Dortmund is winning the battle for the young Argentine, but it’s not like they’ve never been wrong.

There’s the transfer gossip, here’s a look at what he can do:

Arsene Wenger loves picking up young, emerging stars, and this lad appears to be a young, emerging star. I always get nervous when a bidding war is required, but we’ve seen world-class players like Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez pick Arsenal over a higher paycheck solely to play under the Prof, so let’s hope that’s the case here.
