Kevin Prince-Boateng, Pedro and the Arsenal Transfer Rumors We Don’t Want to See Happen
By Josh Sippie
Pedro
Pedro is a winger. That’s been my argument from the get-go. We have Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Danny Welbeck as wingers, along with all our midfielders that can suit up out wide. If Pedro comes that means some one is making way, and as an Arsenal supporter, I don’t like that.
This rumor is being pitched by the Metro, so make of that what you will, but it’s been making the rounds since it’s emergence last summer. The link’s origin centers on that Pedro used to be team mates with Alexis Sanchez.

But more on why you shouldn’t want this transfer to happen. As mentioned, Arsenal are pretty stocked in the winger department. And each one of those wingers I’m particularly fond of. Alexis is an absolute star, Theo Walcott, when healthy, is an absolute star, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is growing into an absolute star. Danny Welbeck may not be my favorite, but Arsene Wenger likes him and his goal against Manchester United left my heart feeling all warm.
So along with the lack of need, I’d rather not see Pedro come in and sweep another player out, especially because the only of those players I could see even the remotest chance of leaving is Theo Walcott. And in my humble opinion, Pedro is a downgrade from Walcott.
