Feed Giroud Early and Often

Nobody wants to put the first leg against Monaco behind them more than Olivier Giroud. Giroud missed a handful of absolutely golden opportunities and came out of the game being called the most worthless striker in the history of Arsenal. Of course, he isn’t that, and since that game, he’s been performing so well that it begs to wonder why we ever doubt the big Frenchman.

Dimitar Berbatov has pegged Giroud as the guy they “must stop” if Monaco is to stave off a valiant Arsenal comeback (via the Mirror).

If Giroud scores early, it will be the ultimate remedy and could spur the Gunners to victory, but the key is to give him the opportunity. Plenty of crosses and probing attacks and Giroud will find the net in his homeland.
