You never know, right? The would-be Japanese superstar’s contract is running out this summer and it remains to be seen if he’ll get a renewal. Given that he’s been sent out on loan five times in the past four years and only scored five goals (however, two this year in seven appearances), it doesn’t seem likely. But again, Wenger may know something we don’t.
The 22-year old did score this sensational goal on his current loan:
Pretty stellar, but one goal does not make a career, and Ryo Miyaichi will have to do more than that to impress Arsene Wenger enough to give him a run at Arsenal.
While his blazing pace could mimic Walcott, nothing else is up to par just yet. Again though, you never know.
