Charles Aranguiz

For some reason, I’m a big fan of going after international team mates of current Arsenal players. I feel like it’s an automatic assurance that that player will fit in and not cause Andre-Pierre Gignac-like problems.

Aranguiz may already be 25 but he’d provide depth at whatever midfield position we need, and given his Chilean nationality, he’d be able to buddy-up with Alexis Sanchez from the get-go. FoxSPORTS was the first to report this rumor, and it seems like it may be a distinct possibility.

The only thing making me a little hesitant to buy into this rumor, aside from the fact that it’s just a rumor, is that Aranguiz just made a permanent move to Internacional in July of 2014 (via the Express) and it’s rare to see a player jump ship that quickly.

However, I’ve been taught to never doubt the Prof, so we’ll see what he wants, because he always gets what he wants (except for work permits).
