Burnley vs Arsenal Match Preview: The Surge Continues
By Brian Wong
As I write this week’s Arsenal match preview, I can’t help but feel like this game is a joke. Arsenal has been in terrific form and Burnley should be last of our worries. Yet this has all the makings of a scary, moral crushing defeat. Arsenal will have to stay mentally tough and be prepared to play a tough, physical game at Turf Moor.
Prediction: Burnley 1-2 Arsenal
1) Arsenal’s defense will show some cracks
Arsenal has been playing fantastic defense over the past few games. Opponents have been shut down by a stable back four, some great goalkeeping and most importantly, a great high pressing midfield. Yet throughout this stretch Arsenal have been lucky because their opponents have not rushed them while Arsenal is on possession. Burnley will definitely try and press higher up and force Arsenal’s defense to make more mistakes.

2) There will be some scrappy goals
Last week we were treated to some of the prettiest goals this season. However, since I think this game will be a close, physical game the goals will come via determination and hard work. Look for Alexis Sanchez to single handily force something and create some chances for his teammates.
3) Ozil is working towards becoming the BEST
Ozil has claimed that he can be at Messi and Ronaldo’s level. He still has a long way to go, but his current form has been outstanding. To move onto the next level, Ozil will have to play more consistently and score more goals. Ozil has been improving but there is still so much potential!
