Arsenal’s Best Possible Starting Squad to Face Chelsea
By Josh Sippie
Francis Coquelin and Jack Wilshere
Surprised? Me too. I had advocated for Jack Wilshere to be eased back against a lesser opponent, but the more I got to thinking, the more I thought how much this game could mean to Jack Wilshere and to his Arsenal career. Chelsea aren’t going to be going gung ho trying to win the game. They’re going to welcome Arsenal pressure and try to absorb it, allowing them plenty of space.
Jack Wilshere could have a fun time in an open midfield. Not only that, but Santi Cazorla was rather lacking against Reading and after playing 120 minutes, he could use a break.
As far as Francis Coquelin, I don’t think much needs to be said.
