No Glaring Needs

Arsenal’s current squad is in fantastic shape. Each and every position is well-manned. Perhaps the loudest outcry is for a new keeper, but David Ospina’s win percentage and saves-per-goal ratio are setting records and he’s only had half a season.

At striker, Olivier Giroud could use some proven backup (not Danny Welbeck or Yaya Sanogo). We also may need another wing to cover for the Ox, should he struggle to stay healthy.

Aside from that, Arsenal is set. We have depth on defense and depth in midfield. We have the holding midfielder we’ve always dreamed of in Francis Coquelin. Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey are finally looking like the matured players we’d been hoping for. Alexis Sanchez is an absolute superstar and Mesut Ozil is finally smiling on the pitch.

There may still be question marks surrounding Theo Walcott, Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky, but we’ve gotten to where we are without them. So if they stay, awesome. If not, safe travels.
