2015 – The Year of the Gunner
Arsenal have been unstoppable in 2015. The only real blips were the Southampton debacle on New Years, the Monaco slip-up and the North London Derby to forget. Other than that, all wins. And not just wins, but cool, confident and controlled wins (and that one Chelsea match).
This team is a special team. All the years of pain and watching all our favorite players skip town have finally paid off in the form of a squad that we can really get behind. This isn’t “boring, boring Arsenal” anymore, where tip-tap passes left us exposed at the back where we’d surrender heartbreaking goals. This is a controlling Arsenal that puts away the small teams and counterattacks the big teams – both with success.
The fire power in this attack and the solid defense is a combination we haven’t seen since the Invincibles.
