Mesut Ozil

This one may be a stretch because of Ozil’s questionable consistency (except lately) and his lack of time with the squad, but he makes up for it with his youth (26) and his skill. However, where Ozil also falls off the table is when you consider his vocal/leadership qualities.

Confidence never seems to be oozing from the German and he doesn’t give the feel of a locker room leader. But he could be a long term solution and if Wenger wants a central figure on the pitch, it doesn’t get much more central than Ozil.
