Aaron Ramsey

My favorite candidate. Ramsey has all the requirements and then some of a potentially dynamic, long-term captain. He’s been with the club for seven years, since he was a young’un. He’s seen the faith Arsene Wenger has in him through his leg injuries and he’s largely repaid that faith.

At 24 years old, he could be captain for another decade. His skill level is superb and he has a calm demeanor, as he’s rarely sent off. Plus, since returning from injury, he’s immediately looking like a captain anyways.

The only potential downfall is his injury proneness, but if his hamstring problems truly are solved, than we have nothing to worry about. Plus, Ramsey has experience being the Welsh team captain, so he’s got that going for him too.
