Alexis Sanchez is always making an impact on the pitch. Whether it be penetrating the attack or halting an opposing attack, you can bet that Alexis Sanchez is always just a few steps away from the action if not right in the middle of it.

The Chilean mastermind’s 7.91 rating on WhoScored.com is second in the Premier League – second only to Eden Hazard. Alexis was widely considered a strong contender for the PFA Player of the Year award but the players thought otherwise.

Alexis’s 24 goals lead the team and his 11 assists are second only to Santi Cazorla. He almost single-handedly kept the team afloat in the beginning half of the season. Many will tell you he went through a slump in the second half, but that’s just because his goal numbers fell off, his form didn’t. Olivier Giroud simply didn’t want to share.

It’s hard to argue against Alexis as Arsenal’s key player this year. The key word there is “year” as he’s been a force for the entire season. Only Santi Cazorla can match that. Aaron Ramsey, Olivier Giroud, David Ospina, Laurent Koscielnt and Mesut Ozil all missed considerable time with injuries.

And speaking of versatility, Alexis Sanchez has played every single position ahead of the defensive line and excluding holding mid and I can count the lackluster games he’s had on one hand. He’s just that good.
