Kondogbia would be another slick signing by Arsene Wenger. He is literally the exact same size as Victor Wanyama and he’s got a similar skill set as well. He’s a very good dribbler, he passes with accuracy and he’s a physical guy. He’s not as much of a scoring threat, but neither is Francis Coquelin.
The Telegraph is reporting that Kondogbia would fetch an 18.2 million pound price. They also cite that Monaco is in need of funds and selling Kondogbia may be the best way to raise those funds. Given that he’s 22 and destined to become an essential tool for whatever team he goes to, that price may not be too far-fetched.
Kondogbia also has a fouling problem, but it’s nothing that can’t be solved. That added tenacity will give Arsenal a little breathing room in case anything should ever happen to the Coq.
