5 Reasons Arsenal Should be Excited over Alexandre Lacazette’s Situation

4. The Price
The sketchiest part about the deal reported by the Express was the cost. Whereas at one point, Lyonnais president Jean-Michel Aulas claimed that PSG weren’t rich enough to sign the duo of Lacazette and Nabil Fekir (via ESPNFC), who were valued at 60 million pounds combined, the Express reports that Lacazette is going for the incredibly cut price of 22 million pounds with one year of loan at Lyonnais.

This is befuddling, but it could also offer a glimmer of hope that maybe the asking price for Lacazette isn’t as high as we think. I feel like 22 million is a price that Arsenal would pounce on in a heartbeat, that’s why I’m so skeptical of this deal being as true as they say.
Not only that, but why would he go to direct rival PSG when he has such a supposed respect for his current club?
All the parts of this deal smell fishy, but seeing a price tag of 22 million associated with the hot commodity known as Alexandre Lacazette should offer some hope (hopefully not false hope) that Arsenal can afford him.
