Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will never play for Chelsea, or anywhere other than Arsenal

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is a talented dude. Name an aspect of football and he is good at it (I can not vouch for his goal keeping, but I am sure he is class). As a winger, the Ox can also play centrally, up front, deeper, or literally anywhere you want. As I said, he is just that talented.

The right wing at Arsenal is essentially reserved for the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, as no one has moved into the spot permanently. The fact that Arsene Wenger has not filled the spot is testament to how much faith he has in the Ox. And why wouldn’t he? The kid is fast, strong, technically gifted, has a powerful shot, can dribble, pass, defend. Like I said, name an aspect of football and he can do it.

Jose Mourinho and his Chelsea buffoons have been talking up how good of a fit the Ox would be at Stamford Bridge and I for one find it hilarious. Assistant manager Ray Wilkins said: “It would be a good fit if he were to go to Chelsea as part of the deal for Cech.” To this statement, I laughed heartily, and you should too.

Petr Cech is worth about 10 million, perhaps a tad more. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s value is all in the eye of the beholder. Transfermarkt has him listed at 15 million pounds but that is a laughable quote based on injury history and lack of being able to establish himself. The Ox is worth about twice that, and anyone who has seen him play can vouch for it.

Not only that, but the kid is 21 and any time he is on the pitch he plays like a seasoned veteran. He is a once in a lifetime talent that you don’t just sell. The Ox is poised to have a breakout year for Arsenal and he may very well be the most exciting player to watch for at the start of the season for the Gunners. Much like Jack Wilshere, it is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s time to shine.

Arsenal are going to mount a title run and the Ox will do nothing but help them. He does not even have any real weaknesses in his game. Obviously Chelsea are keen on him. Everyone should be keen on him. But to even think that they could ever get their grimy paws on him is laughable. Much like Aaron Ramsey, I do not see how there could even be a price tag on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. He is Arsenal through and through.

Just look at his recent statements. “It’s a great place to be. I’ve always loved being at Arsenal and the group’s always felt like a great bunch of lads.”

Don’t worry Arsenal fans, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is here to stay.
