To see them in action alongside our regular stock of stars is going to be incredibly exciting.
That being said, some prestigious youth products are noticeably absent. Serge Gnabry, fresh off of recovering from a serious, year-long knee injury, has been left off due to the U21 European competition. His holiday lasts until July 20th. That is mildly upsetting seeing as how Serge Gnabry appears ready to burst onto the scene.
Also notably left off is the Polish wonderkid that could be the next mix of Xavi, Andrea Pirlo and Zidane, Krystian Bielik. Bielik is as hyped as hyped can be but his progress was pretty mummed throughout all of last year. Whether the European competition played a part or not, Wenger did not say.
Of course, no roster release would be complete without some notable injuries. Danny Welbeck is still hurt from the end of last season and is left off the squad. This too is really disheartening because nobody needs to mesh with his team and kickstart his life in North London more than Danny Welbeck does.
Tomas Rosicky is also left off the list because of a small injury he picked up on international duty but I don’t think my raised eyebrows are the only raised eyebrows when considering how frustrated Tomas Rosicky was at his lack of playing time and the fact that he is not coming to Singapore.

On a more positive note, Calum Chambers cut his vacation short so that he could come with the team to Singapore. That kind of dedication will not go unnoticed by Arsene Wenger and you can be sure that his stock is rising considerably in Le Prof’s eyes.
They may only be friendly competitions, but we will get a chance to see our Arsenal boys back in action with Petr Cech in goal. Bring it on!
