Chuba Akpom was given some chances with the Arsenal first team this past season and while he did not look terrible, he did show signs of needing some more time to develop.

That same Chuba Akpom put up a hat trick. While no goal was a case of Akpom pulling a series of Zlatan-like moves and chipping the ball over the goalie, his goals were powerful and conclusive. A header, a rebounded effort and a penalty.
Arsene Wenger told Sky Sports: “He has an aggressive desire in the box. He can brush people away, he has an intense desire to score.” We saw that aggression and ability first-hand.
I will say this one last time, it was only the Singapore XI, but if this is what we have to look forward to with Chuba Akpom, it makes sense if Wenger holds off on signing another striker.
