Wojciech Szczesny, Adrien Rabiot and the Latest Arsenal Transfer Rumors

Wojciech Szczesny

The latest to trip and fall out of the revolving door where all the back-up Arsenal keepers hang out is our Polish superstar-to-be. With the arrival of Petr Cech, it only makes sense that one goal keeper may have to make way. It has been a revolving door ever since the move (hence the initial analogy) over who will be the one to make that extra space.

It started with David Ospina being linked to a Turkish move but now it has turned to Szczesny being linked to a loan move to Roma.

Such a move would be fishy in a lot of ways, but could provide Szczesny plenty of first-team experience, albeit away from the tutelage of Cech.

Adrien Rabiot

The PSG youngster has been linked to Arsenal for some time, but he has remained keen on making a career at the French giants.

However, seeing no career in sight, Rabiot’s mother and agent spoke out about his future.

“Adrien wants to have a career at PSG. But it’s not possible. Are PSG trying to tarnish Adrien because we have asked for a transfer? If Adrien leaves PSG, he is not leaving for the sake of leaving, he is leaving in order to play,” she said via the Metro.

Nothing confirms your exit like your mother saying you’re leaving, so that opens up the door for Arsenal.

Sead Kolasinac

The Bosnian left back that currently suits up for Schalke joins Faouzi Ghoulam as left back candidates to give Arsenal some sort of consistency at the position. Whereas Ghoulam is much more seasoned and reliable, Kolasinac is a mere 22 years of age and could provide a left back option for years to come.

Abdul Rahman Baba

According to the Metro, Chelsea have found revenge for Petr Cech in the form of a 21 year old full back. To each his own. Rahman is valued at 15 million pounds and even though his experience is a tad lacking, his age and potential may make him worth that amount.

Karim Benzema

You may be tired of seeing Karim Benzema’s name around Pain in the Arsenal’s website lately, but seeing as how he is holding regular chats with Arsene Wenger, we cannot stay away. According to the Daily Star, it is getting serious, and if Arsenal can up their original 31 million pound bid a bit, they may land quite the catch in one of the best strikers in the world.

It just remains to be seen if Real Madrid are willing to part with their guy. He has spent his career their and wanted to spend the rest of his career their, but with Ronaldo getting the No. 9 role, where will Benzema play?

Next: Is Benzema the only option?
