Besiktas appear to be be keen on beefing up the number of ex-Arsenal players in Turkey, as they look to line up a single digit million pound bid for Danny Welbeck.

I am only entertaining this rumor because it is most certainly not going to happen. Arsene Wenger nabbed Welbeck with the intent of making him a cold-hearted killer at the front and he has not had an opportunity to flex that muscle yet.

Danny Welbeck was purchased for 16 million pounds last summer and to think that he would go for a cent less is comical. This is nothing more than Besiktas taking a stick and poking the elephant to see if its awake. Well, the elephant is awake (that was a pretty rough analogy).
