Arsenal look like they are using the success of former Barcelona product Hector Bellerin to wreak havoc on the young stock of Barcelona, perhaps as reparation for Cesc Fabregas. First it was Munir, now it is the midfield whiz kid Sergi Samper.
The Metro reports that Arsenal are willing to hit the 8.4 million pound release clause to bring the young Spaniard to England.
If nothing else, this pursuit has pushed Samper into ‘crunch time’ talks with Barcelona, likely over his future, as Samper cannot be blind to what Arsenal has done for young starlets in years passed.
