1. Aaron Ramsey, the future Captain

For as good as Mesut Ozil looked, Aaron Ramsey looked just as good. The Welshman was given the spot next to Francis Coquelin that he had been asking for and to put it simply: He made the most of it.

Aaron Ramsey was involved in nearly every goal up until he was subbed. He set up Alex Iwobi brilliantly for the youngster’s goal, he started the run that led to the Ox’s goal and he scored his own brilliant goal off a splendid Ozil pass, tucking it into the near corner from the most improbable angle.

The Welshman was absolutely commandeering in the middle of the pitch. He was making no-look passes, looking dominant on the ball and showed a bit of pace as well.

Aaron Ramsey needs to be the next captain of this team. I was of the opinion that he should be given the role this year, but next year will work as well. Regardless, it needs to happen.
