Arsenal and Chelsea Position by Position Comparison to Prove that Arsenal Will Take Title

Cesar Azpilicueta vs Gibbs/Monreal
Arsenal do not have too much to brag about at left back. Nacho Monreal is effective but little else and Kieran Gibbs is inconsistent and injury prone. When Gibbs is on, however, he is incredibly useful offensively and defensively, it is just a matter of maintaining some consistency. That starts with staying healthy.

The two played a game of musical chairs last year for the spot, and as anyone who has watched a two-person game of musical chairs will tell you, it is not very entertaining and very few people come out better off from it.
Cesar Azpilicueta, meanwhile, is a very solid left back who manages to read play very well going forward and tracking back. He averages three tackles and two interceptions a game, which for an average is pretty well above average.
Verdict: When it comes to left back, the winner is Chelsea. If Gibbs can find some consistency, he could overtake his Chelsea counterpart, however that has not happened yet and I will not rule this based off of potential.
