3. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 79

The Ox came in last year rated at a 78 and it never went up. Given the injury trouble, that is pretty understandable. What will not be understandable is when EA Sports only gives our Englishman a one-point boost because of his lack of any serious progress last year.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

What we have seen out of the Ox so far this preseason is a man that deserves a rating in the mid-80s. He is an absolute monster and I do not envy the guy whose task it is to dock the Ox points because rating him an 86 is just too much. What do you take points away from? His shooting, strength, speed, dribbling and passing are all extraordinary.

I suppose if you want to get down to the nitty-gritty, his first touch can be a little heavy but that should not keep the Ox out of the 80s, although it will.

The Ox needs only to stay healthy, however. His rating will skyrocket when he makes it painfully obviously that he is not about that 70s life. It will not be long before he can see the 90s on his horizon.
