Arsenal’s Predicted Starting XI to Face Crystal Palace
By Josh Sippie
Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny
No reason to change this, both Mertesacker and Koscielny might not have been on top of their game against West Ham but who was? The two were never really caught out or grossly exposed like so many other people on the team.
If Chamakh starts at striker, or sees any game time at all, he will be completely negated by our duo of center backs so long as they keep their composure. It is the speed of the other attackers on Palace that has me the slightest bit worried but even then, Bellerin and (hopefully) Gibbs can cope with that pace with their own.
Arsenal need a solid defensive display after giving up two goals to a rather anticlimactic West Ham attack (or so we thought) so it is imperative to rebound.
