Arsenal’s Predicted Starting XI to Face Crystal Palace
By Josh Sippie
Mesut Ozil and Theo Walcott
Mesut Ozil was not terrible against West Ham but he was not really good either. In games like that, you need your big time play makers like Ozil to step up and pull something out of their hat. Of course, a lot of the problem had to do with the fact that Ozil had no space seeing as how there were four central midfielders, but with Arsenal set to return to last year’s formation, that problem should be fixed.

Ozil will have Alexis back and Theo and the Ox making runs as well so he will have his options as long as he can keep his fantastic vision going.
Theo Walcott will probably be given the start over Giroud because of Crystal Palace’s demeanor. They are a hulking, physical team that can cancel out Olivier Giroud, but they are not a fast team. Theo Walcott has been irrelevant this season and he needs to start asserting himself. This is the team to do it against.
Making runs against Palace is a winning strategy and with Alexis and Ozil there to pick him out, Theo Walcott could feasibly have a good game. Granted, he needs acres of space to be effective, he should be able to find it.
