Danny Welbeck may have been born and raised United, but at the end of the day they told him he was not good enough and Arsenal was there to take his hand and pat his head and assure him that he was good enough, and they were going to show the world.

That is enough to inspire a guy to do his best for a club. He spoke after downing Manchester United with a goal of his own, saying: “[Wenger has] shown a lot of faith in me and I’m delighted to pay him back tonight. Just giving me the chance to play football up front in my preferred position, I’m going to do everything I can to make sure that he’s happy.”
Again Wenger is going to bring out the best in another one of his guys and that is going to start paying dividends when Welbeck starts delivering goals.
