4. Arsene Wenger has faith in him

For as much faith as Danny Welbeck has in Wenger and as thankful as he is for the opportunity, Wenger has twice as much faith in Welbeck. We all know how stingy Wenger can be on the transfer market. He buys exceptional talents with un-exceptional price tags. That is a hard business model to succeed at.

If Wenger was willing to spend 16 million pounds on Danny Welbeck and prime him to be a center forward to challenge Olivier Giroud, then I have faith in his decision and in Welbeck’s ability to deliver a final product.

Wenger’s faith is rarely misplaced. Throughout his tenure at Arsenal, he has made just a handful or two of signings that did not work out. While Welbeck could indeed be one of those, it is too early to tell and the odds are in his favor to succeed.
