5 Bargain Priced Transfers Arsenal Can Complete
By Josh Sippie
5. Aleksandr Kokorin
Kokorin has emerged as a target of both Manchester United and Tottenham, so it only makes sense that Arsenal should try to pip him away. The 24 year old Russian striker may have had a tough start to his young career but he has settled in adequately, scoring 28 goals in his past three years (71 appearances)(ESPNFC).

The Russian striker is still young, has a quality international record, and figures to aim for higher honors than the Russian league before too much longer.
At 6’0″ he poses enough of an aerial threat to be relevant on set pieces and he has good pace to boot. Development would obviously still be needed but Arsene Wenger has a tendency to get the best out of his players.
In terms of price, Kokorin has a 13 million pound release clause that would be no problem to meet. His potential and current qualities make him well worth a shot. Hopefully Wenger’s past Russian dealings are not scaring him away, although I could not blame him if they were.
