It was shocking to see Theo Walcott spearheading the attack and the suave hair of Olivier Giroud plopped on the bench. It ended up being a bad decision, as Theo Walcott failed to impact yet another game and further lessened his stock as a striker, but it was a good sign. Giroud had scored 8 goals in 6 appearances against Newcastle. That is grounds for a start, but Wenger thought otherwise.

However, even with it being a bad decision, it was a good sign. We all know how frustrating it is when our dear Le Prof will not make changes when his club is clearly struggling, but he made changes, and big ones.
The last time Wenger made wholesale changes, it was after the Southampton debacle on New Years and those changes made all the difference.
Maybe this will have the same effect on Olivier Giroud, but even if it does not, it shows that Wenger is aware that something has to be done.
