It may be a bit redundant to say it again, but despite how atrocious the match against Newcastle was, we won it. It was not so long ago that these types of games would end up being dropped points for the Gunners but this time around, we clung to the victory and pulled three points out of it.

Had we won 5-0, we would have been given just as many points.
The defense played well enough to stifle any potential counter attacks, which is another thing that, not that long ago, would not have been the case at all. Arsenal have a history of surrendering late in games and given how much we controlled the flow of the match against the Magpies, it felt like something similar may be on the cards.
But that was not the case, and Arsenal climbed the table amidst the drab affair.
