Arsenal Predicted Starting XI To Face Tottenham Hotspur
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal were dismantled by Croation Champion’s Dinamo Zagreb at the middle of the week. It was embarrassing. They needed a rebound and recent performances in the Premier League showed that they had the capabilities to take points from a struggling Chelsea. They did not.

Now, Arsenal face another midweek clash with Tottenham Hotspur, this time in the third round of the Football League Cup. A rather undesirable draw, it still gives Arsenal a fantastic chance to rebound and put down a direct rival in the process. Nothing gets the blood flowing like a triumph over Tottenham.
However, Arsenal have a lot of major problems to address. It will be their third match in a week, so another squad rotation is in play. If last squad rotation was any hint of what we have to look forward to, there is not much. Dinamo Zagreb picked us apart and Arsene Wenger has to understand that changes must be made. We do not have the depth to run out a different rotation than we did last time out. Yet we desperately need a new rotation.
Problem number two is absentees. Francis Coquelin is injured. That is a nightmare. Gabriel Paulista and Santi Cazorla are also out due to conspicuous red cards. That leaves Arsenal with almost no choice but to start Mikel Arteta in a defensive role. That is terrifying.
Arsene Wenger has to be ruing the lack of action at the transfer deadline. But then again, do we really think that? Anyway, here are the most likely Arsenal starting XI to face Tottenham at midweek.
