Which Arsenal Prospect Do You Most Want To See Join The Team?

Arsenal have a mass of young talent that is nearing first-team quality. Most of them are serving various loan spells but some have remained at the club. So here is the question, who are you most excited to see with the team?

Chuba Akpom is going to be facing a lot of pressure to get back with the Arsenal team. With just Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck holding down the striking corps, Arsenal could use something new. Akpom was not supposed to be loaned out, according to Arsene Wenger, but in the end he was.

At Hull City, he has been making a pretty solid name for himself. He got off to a roaring start, scoring two goals in quick succession. It has slowed down since, but Steve Bruce has vouched for the future of Akpom.

Spending time with Akpom is Isaac Hayden, who plays the all-important defensive midfield roll. His services are craved right now as Arsenal are without Francis Coquelin. We yet again face the dire prospect of Mikel Arteta playing defensive midfield for the club.

Jon Toral is in a similar position to Isaac Hayden. He is in his 20s now and figures to be fighting for first team responsibilities soon. Toral is at Birmingham City and he has contributed goals and assists to the Blues cause. Toral has a pretty solid physique but he plays a forward, attacking midfield roll. Knowing Arsene Wenger though, he may very well intend for him to play a holding, box-to-box roll.

Gedion Zelalem is a special talent as well. At just 18 years of age, he is already pegged as the future of United States’ football. He is spending the season at Scottish side Rangers, where he is learning the physical nature of the game. Physicality has always been pegged as his weakest attribute so it is good for him to get acclimated to it now.

Then their is Alex Iwobi. Iwobi had a fantastic preseason and was not sent out on loan. Clearly Wenger has intentions of using him in the first team this year. A natural winger, Iwobi is one of the few that Arsenal has. Aside from the Ox, only Iwobi is a true winger. Well, Theo Walcott is, but we won’t go there. Iwobi could feature against Tottenham depending on what value Wenger places on the competition.

Finally, Jeff Reine-Adelaide. Pegged as the next great thing, Reine-Adelaide is composed on the ball. He plays unlike any 17-year old should play and he may be ticketed for a very early start to his Arsenal first-team career. That being said, he is injured, and therefore we must wait.
