Arsenal’s Predicted Starting XI To Face Olympiakos
By Josh Sippie
Mathieu Debuchy and Kieran Gibbs
Mathieu Debuchy is putting up some solid performances. He did against Tottenham at least, and he will look to build on that against the Greek side. The depth of Arsenal’s full backs really is wonderful. Especially given how much Arsene Wenger seems to shy away from depth.

Debuchy still finds his path blocked by a young Hector Bellerin, who continues to impress more and more. Either way, a team with as many competitions to take part in as Arsenal need guys like Debuchy who provide so little of a step down between matches.
Kieran Gibbs is still in contention to take the left back spot. He is much closer than Debuchy opposite him. Even Arsene Wenger has backed his English left back to mount a challenge on Nacho Monreal.
Gibbs has the superior talent going forward but has proven to be inconsistent. Injuries are a problem as well. Given the batch of matches he is going to be playing in, he really needs to start proving that he can put up the kind of shows like he did against Tottenham on a regular basis.
