With a youth system like Arsenal’s, loans are pretty much the greatest thing in the world. They need to get their 17-20 year old crop plenty of first team game time so when the time comes for them to impact Arsenal, they are fully equipped and prepared to do so.

That being said, this year is a heavy year for Arsenal in terms of who they loaned out.

Carl Jenkinson is spending another season on loan at West Ham, as Arsenal’s right back scenario is as jam-packed as always.

Chuba Akpom and Isaac Hayden will be spending the year at Hull City. Akpom’s loan came as a bit of a surprise seeing as how Arsene Wenger had said he would not loan out the young striker.

The prodigy Daniel Crowley is staying at Barnsley for the year and the finally-cleared-for-a-visa Wellington Silva looks to make an impact with the Bolton Wanders.
