Depending on if you value the Champion’s League or not, Arsenal will be going into the Manchester United clash either full of momentum from the Leicester City show or dejected from their Champion’s League fiasco. Either way, this is a humongous clash that could put Arsenal on the fast track towards Premier League title contention.

Let’s talk about Olympiakos. The game had a ton of negatives. However, some of those negatives will be fixed by the weekend. David Ospina’s errors will not be a problem. He won’t be starting. Arsenal will not have to deal with a frantic continental attack like Olympiakos or Dinamo Zagreb, two teams that are apparently way out of Arsenal’s league.

Another thing to look forward to, Alexis, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all had really stellar games. While the Ox probably will not start, the Alexis/Walcott partnership is starting to pay dividends.

The main problem still exists, however. Arsenal still could not convert their chances. They had 18 total shots. They scored 2 goals.

Arsenal sit 3 points behind United. A win and we are level. The big question here is whether or not Arsenal has the gumption to recover. Normally Champion’s League form does not meddle its greasy fingers in Premier League form, but this is Arsenal. We must always expect the worst.

United have been scoring goals with an increased frequency. While it has been against shoddy opposition, that can still build confidence. They will look to hit Arsenal hard and fast. Arsenal have a tendency to start slow and require near-disaster to wake up. If that happens against United, they will lose.

Injury-wise, Arsenal welcomed back Francis Coquelin, which was a major sight for sore eyes. However, Laurent Koscielny left the game with a hamstring injury.

With that in mind, lets get started with Arsenal’s predicted Starting XI to face Manchester United.
