Arsenal Receive Massive Grzegorz Krychowiak Transfer Boost
By Josh Sippie
One of the more heavily linked transfer targets of Arsenal is Grzegorz Krychowiak. He has been near the top of the transfer list since last winter. His worth is steadily growing and the Polish international is well aware of it. So is his current club, Sevilla.

The Spanish side tried to up Krychowiak’s release clause from £22 million to £33 million. All of this after Arsenal’s desire to nab the midfielder was noticed. Clearly they are protecting him. Or at least trying to.
With how much Grzegorz Krychowiak has spoken up in the past, it appeared that such a deal in his new contract would be an easily sealed ordeal. But apparently there is no such thing as that. Krychowiak turned the deal down. That’s right all you Arsenal faithful out there, Krychowiak wants to make it easier for Arsenal to come and get him.
Excited yet? Do not be just yet. It will still take near £25 million to snatch him away. Affordable for sure. But it still has to be perfect.
The interest is well established. Arsene Wenger has identified him as a target and has had scouts all over, holding doors for Krychowiak. The Pole is still mum on his future prospects, though. He has identified that the only thing that matters is that he is staying at Sevilla. But what else is he going to say?
Not accepting an increase in his release clause is a huge sign. Clearly he intends to move elsewhere. Unless he just wants an even bigger release clause. But Wenger has to see this as an opportunity to fix a problem that Arsenal has. We can no longer rely on Mikel Arteta to cover for Francis Coquelin. We never have been able to. The scariest time to be an Arsenal supporter is when Le Coq is not playing.

Grzegorz Krychowiak solves that problem. The Polish international also brings a hefty degree of offense to the equation that Coquelin does not have. He even had the audacity to score a goal for the Polish National side. When is the last time Coquein looked capable of scoring a goal? I do not even need one finger to count the times.
The point is that Arsenal need what Krychowiak provides. You could even go so far as to say that Krychowiak needs what Arsenal provide. Arsenal is one of the top teams in the Premier League. They are on the path to some serious trophies. Sevilla will always be trapped in the shadow of Real Madrid and Barcelona. Petr Cech pegged Arsenal as a team with the right ambition. He saw the vision and took the bait. Maybe Krychowiak will do the same.
