Arsenal Predicted Starting XI To Face Everton
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal beat Bayern Munich. Again. That is something that is pretty cool. With their backs against the wall in the toughest competition in club football and a ton of momentum on their side, Arsenal displayed a degree of grit and resolve that we could have never dreamed of. Even with how well the team had been playing, Bayern Munich is a different level of excellence. Arsenal took that level of excellence, wadded it up, and tossed it back to Germany.
And now, life goes on.
Arsenal face Everton next. The Toffees were grossly exposed by Manchester United last Premier League matchday to the tune of three-nil. It was not pretty and the entire known world is keen to the fact that Everton is better than that. Surely they will be looking to reinforce that point when Arsenal welcome them to their midst.
But Everton will be running face first into arguably the most in-form team in Europe. Bayern Munich is the best team in the world and Arsenal handled them. By those standards, Everton should pose very little threat. But this is Arsenal and nothing can be written off.
As mentioned, Everton is still a team of great quality. Between Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley, they have the ability to create and hammer in goals. They have done it to Arsenal in the past.
But unlike Arsenal in the past, this Arsenal has Petr Cech and they have a new-found dignity that looks sustainable this time around. With momentum still hugely in the Gunner’s favor and another home game on the cards, Arsenal are the heavy favorites.
In terms of injuries, Aaron Ramsey is out with his hamstring injury. That being said, Alexis Sanchez is bound to be a bit exhausted still, as he was running on fumes against Bayern Munich.
All that being said and considered, let’s get into our predicted starting XI.
