Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud

Surprise!

Welcoming back Mesut Ozil will be nice, but it will be a bit nervy as well. As a natural born skeptic, I have this irking feeling that the week off is somehow going to negatively impact the streak he was on. I have convinced myself that I am a wrong, but that does not stop the replaying memory of him getting bullied by Cesc Fabregas about two years ago.

Ozil will be ready to spring Arsenal on to a new winning streak. That is, if we even want to could Sheffield Wednesday as a break in that streak.

Then there is Olivier Giroud. He is going to be seeing a lot of game time with Theo Walcott reportedly having to miss five club and international matches. That gives the Frenchman an excellent opportunity to claim his position and not relinquish it. He showed us a lot against Bayern Munich and Everton but his efforts alone were not enough to save Arsenal in the League Cup.

However, new Giroud has more confidence than he knows what to do with and he should be able to bounce back with balls coming in from Alexis, Ozil and Cazorla.
