3. Arsenal can win without Alexis

We kind of learned this against Bayern Munich, when Alexis was giving the ball away like Oprah gives away cars. But to see it reinforced against a team like Swansea reminds us that it is true. Even when Alexis is off his game as he clearly was in Wales, Arsenal can still win, and they can win big.

Alexis had very little impact on the match. He snatched one shot way wide, complained a bit about passes not finding him, got fouled a few times and called it a day. The Chilean maestro looked like a dull knife. I cannot recall a single time where he looked threatening towards Lukasz Fabianski.

Arsenal has evolved past having to depend on one person. That is no longer a part of their repertoire and we have Arsene Wenger to thank for that.

However, Alexis still had the same intensity, which brings us to our next point. Although it is about someone else.
