Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud

Aside from Petr Cech, these two could be the duo that I have the most confidence in. Giroud is playing absolutely brilliantly lately, using head and foot alike to keep his goal streak alive. That streak continued against Swansea City.

More from Arsenal News

Against the Swans, we were reminded just how good Giroud’s holdup play is. Any long pass from the back was won by Giroud. He is just that strong.

Last time out against Bayern, Giroud did not get the start but he was the sub that scored the goal. This time out, he will get the start. Hopefully he can occupy the Bayern centerbacks enough to allow his team mates to find some space on goal. That is what Giroud does.

And what Mesut Ozil does is assist. The German leads just about everyone in everything with assists. It seems like Arsenal cannot score without a well-placed pass from the maestro. But then again, just because Arsenal seemingly always score because of a well-placed pass does not mean that they cannot score without him. They can.

Mesut Ozil looked brilliant against Bayern the first time out. He has the capabilities to look brilliant yet again.
