We will have to wait until Sunday to wash that awful game against Bayern out of our minds. But on the bright side, it is against Tottenham. Nothing like a good old fashioned North London Derby to remind us that Arsenal is still a dominant force. Even with Bayern having quite literally slaughtered Arsenal, that was a different competition and a different day.

This is Tottenham. Arsenal will always be superior to Tottenham. It’s science.

All that being said, Arsenal have a hefty portion on their plate. Hopefully team spirit is not that low after having suffered a major defeat, but it did not seem to be after Sheffield United either. Momentum, or lack there of, has a knack for not carrying over between competitions.

Arsenal have not lost in the Premier League since mid September. That is something to brag about. They are tied for the top of the league with Manchester City. This team is clicking, their defense is the best in England.

However, that defense is facing a serious injury crisis. Hector Bellerin is for sure missing the match and Laurent Koscielny has a small chance of playing. Those are arguably our two best defenders, with Nacho Monreal being a close third. That is tremendously worrisome. That puts Arsenal at up to ten men that will be missing (according to SkySports).

Tottenham sit fifth in the league and with Harry Kane suddenly showing up by scoring five goals in his last three matches, they pose a threat. With Arsenal facing the prospect of starting Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista again, there is reason to be nervous.

But this is Arsenal. We don’t lose to Tottenham.

With that in mind, let’s get started with our starting XI predictions, starting where we always do, with Petr Cech. I mean, at goalie.
